Christmas with mom!

Yesterday morning I was sitting with my mom at her house while dad had gone to church. Mom fell Friday afternoon, banged her head and broke 3 fingers. She is making it pretty good considering.
Mom wanted to watch the church service from the Pulaski Heights Methodist Church in Little Rock. Of course the sermon was a Christmas sermon. The pastor had a very good message. Here is the Youtube video of the entire service. The sermon starts at about 22:00 and runs for about 15 minutes. It is worth 15 minutes of your time. I especially like what he has to say starting at 35:35
Check it out. You want be disappointed. Merry Christmas!

  1. In a world where people are being both racially and religiously profiled; in this culture where we are having disturbing conversations about who’s out and who’s in; who’s welcome and who’s not; who’s to go free and who is to be taken captive.
In this culture where even some religious leaders are encouraging members of the faith community to pack heat so they can take out the infidels should they disturb them.
Our calling is to sing Mary’s song.
Our calling is to magnify the lowly.
To be a voice for those that have no voice.
To lift up those that are down low.
To offer good things to eat to those who are hungry.
To stand on the capitol steps and to proclaim that God loves all.
