Saturday afternoon I was sitting in the truck waiting on the pizza we ordered to be ready for pickup.  While we waited, my wife was laughing and reading me puns from a funny pun website. 

One of the puns was so profound that I have decided to add it to my list of Leadership/Life Maxims.

Choose your weapon

I have always considered myself a moderate. I am constantly irritated at the 20% on the right that label themselves conservative and the 20% on the left that label themselves liberal and my friends in the middle that are mostly silent (or just smart). However, we have reached the top and are headed down the slippery slope of the other side. This will require those of us in the middle to choose a side since the 20% position is that you are either with us or against us. A smart survivalist will join the conservative 20%. They are the ones with the guns and are willing to use them. And that is very sad.

Excellent history of our universe. I would consider this a must read for anyone interested in a contextual history of where we came from, where we are now and what the future looks like.

Been working on my epitaph. I like this one.

I stole that from this quote from Warren Buffet. He said it about his long time friend and partner, Charlie Munger.
