New Maxims

Adding three new maxims to my Leadership/Life Maxims today.

The first two are from Shane Parrish at Farnam Street.

• If you do things the same way as everyone else, expect the same results as everyone else.
• Professionals solve the problem.  Amateurs solve the symptom.

The third is from Inspirational Quotes - @inspire_US -  a twitter feed I follow.

• People too weak to follow their own dreams will always find a way to discourage yours.

Principles - Ray Dailo

New Maxim - Lose the ego!

From Shane Parrish on Twitter

"Trying to be less wrong is better than trying to be right.  When you focus on being less wrong, blindspots become visible, beliefs no longer need protecting, and you become open to better ideas.  OUTCOME OVER EGO."

Rest is better than quitting

Picked this addition to my list of Leadership/Life Maxims up from FaceBook today:

When tired, learn to rest not quit.

Going to make this trip someday.
