My good friend Mike King is retired now but he spent his career coaching high school basketball at Southside Batesville in Arkansas. I consider Mike to be the best coach I have ever known. He is a quite man and he coached that way. He wasn't assessed a technical foul until his 17th season.
He was described as being able to take a below average team based on skills, teach them the fundamentals and, more often than not, have a winning season. He was that kind of coach.
